JOB TITLE: Food Service Worker
TYPE OF POSITION: Classified
REPORTS TO: Cafeteria Manager

POSITION PURPOSE: Prepares and cooks meals for school cafeteria.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
- Prepares soup, meats, vegetables, salads and desserts for consumption in school cafeteria.
- Assists in the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment.
- Serves meals.
- Checks food shipments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate.
- Willingness to expand knowledge.
- Efficient work habits.
- Skills in human relations.
- Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of School Trustees may find appropriate and approve.

While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, and is in an environment in which the room temperature may be effected by the appliances being used, and may be exposed to fumes, vapors, and varying temperature.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
TERMS: Length of year and rate of pay to be determined by the School Board.
